Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stefan Poe took the kick off in the first half of the match. Charlton Burrows made an important save on a dangerous shot by Charlton Sneed in the 3rd minute. Stefan Poe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 4th playminute. In the 7th minute, Boyd Diggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Poe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Kirby Nunn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Buffalo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The supporters of Southmen United AFC booed when New Buffalo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Beasley didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Poe in the 17th minute of play forced New Buffalo's goalkeeper Charlton Burrows to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Domingo Kennedy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Charlton Burrows. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 30th minute Chance Larsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allen Luna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Poe's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Charlton Burrows skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the New Buffalo defense, Domingo Kennedy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charlton Burrows. The New Buffalo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charlton Burrows should have stopped the shot. When Charlton Sneed fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southmen United AFC's protests and gave Charlton Sneed a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Couch during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of New Buffalo booed when Southmen United AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Couch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kirby Nunn took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allen Luna. Allen Luna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boyd Diggs to strike the kick off in the second half. Stefan Poe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the game, Chance Larsen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allen Luna. Chance Larsen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. After 59 played minutes Southmen United AFC got a freekick which was hit by Mitchell Fay. In the 60th minute, Boyd Diggs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stefan Poe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Charlton Burrows tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Orville Bassett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southmen United AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orville Bassett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlton Burrows breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Poe took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Charlton Burrows. Charlton Burrows dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. 79 minutes into the game, Stefan Poe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-3. Charlton Burrows was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th match minute, Southmen United AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitchell Fay to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Stefan Poe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Charlton Burrows was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Esteban Avila hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Leland Barton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlton Burrows saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Poe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlton Burrows having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Southmen United AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while New Buffalo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
