But to his dismay, Rolf McMullen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 18th minute, Charlotte Hall's Monroe Polk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Monroe Polk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Charlotte Hall protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Monroe Polk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 17th minute, one of Charlotte Hall:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Charlotte Hall. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for McLoud FC. Son Zamora stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leo Lowry. 1-1. Bryant Cho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leo Lowry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of McLoud FC booed when Charlotte Hall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waylon Perkins didn't get a good kick on the ball.
