Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Scott's Ronny Long started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, North Attleborough's J.C. Hays sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Russ Malone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11thth minute of the game J.C. Hays who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Scott's Russ Malone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ed Leonard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Forrest Allison showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 19th minute, Gerry Woodard made a precise shot to the right of Russ Malone. Scott's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 23rd match minute, Scott was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Dickerson to maneuver through the defense. J.C. Hays fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Malone having to interfere. When Forrest Allison came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Scott fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Forrest Allison couldn't finish the play. After 35 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Scott! The Scott players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. North Attleborough were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and J.C. Hays made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Scott was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrell Glenn to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 56 minutes, Forrest Allison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scott's supporters crossed their fingers, but Forrest Allison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerry Woodard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Malone having to interfere. Scott's Russ Malone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by J.C. Hays in the 62nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Russ Malone successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ronny Long's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ed Leonard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in North Attleborough's zone, Forrest Allison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ed Leonard came out of the goal and Forrest Allison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd match minute, North Attleborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by J.C. Carrey to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the match, North Attleborough's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Long came free, but Ed Leonard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerry Woodard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Russ Malone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, J.C. Hays dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Russ Malone, 1-3. Gerry Woodard succeeded in the game's 85th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. When Rodrick Gant fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Attleborough's protests and gave Rodrick Gant a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Rodrick Gant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Russ Malone managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when North Attleborough's Gerry Woodard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of North Attleborough booed when Scott was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darrell Glenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. North Attleborough's Colin Moody couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 95th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Scott. After 97 played minutes North Attleborough got a freekick which was hit by Colin Moody. The Scott fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. North Attleborough were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
