The tension between the North Aurora and the Denair FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thomas Landreth kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Joesph McCracken managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Aurora's supporters rose to their feet, but Joesph McCracken was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bill Lyle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Landon McKinley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufus Newman in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Denair FC's zone, Joesph McCracken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Lyle came out of the goal and Joesph McCracken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Willie Meyers fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denair FC's protests and gave Willie Meyers a yellow card for diving instead. Darrel Albright sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Darrel Albright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Landon McKinley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bill Lyle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joesph McCracken in the 43rd minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joesph McCracken to strike the kick off in the second half. When North Aurora's Joesph McCracken in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Denair FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ray Hall ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpected shot in the 64th minute by Rufus Newman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 66 minutes into the match, North Aurora's goalkeeper Landon McKinley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darrel Albright. In the 69th minute, Rufus Newman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darron Kennedy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Lyle having to interfere. Bill Lyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joesph McCracken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rufus Newman struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Landon McKinley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denair FC. Landon McKinley made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Darrel Albright sent off a good shot on target. Rufus Newman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Landon McKinley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. North Aurora's Landon McKinley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save North Aurora from getting a goal against them. Bill Lyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joesph McCracken, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Landon McKinley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Newman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
