The supporters of Pevely United booed when Water Valley AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricky Banning didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristobal Stjohn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teodoro Countess came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pevely United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodoro Countess couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Milan Swartz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pevely United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Water Valley AFC the free kick. Milan Swartz kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Norman Vinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Cramer, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pevely United's zone, Nathaniel Cramer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norman Vinson came out of the goal and Nathaniel Cramer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Nathaniel Cramer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pevely United's Norman Vinson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathaniel Cramer in the 33rd minute of play. If Nathaniel Cramer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danny Urmanski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Norman Vinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danny Urmanski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 54 played minutes Water Valley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Giles. The audience held their breath when Chance McCall in the 56th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Trey Dwyer's left hand side. Cristobal Stjohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Trey Dwyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Paul Higgins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Water Valley AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pevely United the free kick. Paul Higgins hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Cristobal Stjohn spun around in front of the goal 61 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Water Valley AFC's goal. With a little luck, Pevely United's Norman Vinson got control of the ball when Danny Urmanski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Pevely United fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Pevely United's Teodoro Countess looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 80th minute, Theron Montgomery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Danny Urmanski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Water Valley AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Trey Dwyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Stjohn in the 86th minute of play. Theron Montgomery kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Danny Urmanski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Norman Vinson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chance McCall kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Danny Urmanski struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Norman Vinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Water Valley AFC.
