Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cary Tracy kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Cary Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. California AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cary Tracy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cary Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tod Bryson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Oil City's Tod Bryson got control of the ball when Jeff Quintana tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9thth minute of the game Rick Hastings who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but California AFC's Lloyd McFadden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 11th minute, Cary Tracy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tod Bryson. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 14th match minute, California AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warner Krause to maneuver through the defense. Rick Hastings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zack Duarte succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Oil City's Tod Bryson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cary Tracy in the 39th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Oil City got a freekick which was hit by Zack Duarte. Cary Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zack Duarte made a kick off. When Zack Duarte came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Oil City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zack Duarte couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, California AFC's goalkeeper Lloyd McFadden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rick Hastings. Oil City's Jerrod Landreth got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Oil City got a freekick which was hit by Henry Chavez. Jack Ayers was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Rick Hastings managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oil City's supporters rose to their feet, but Rick Hastings was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lloyd McFadden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rick Hastings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Oil City's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
