Todd Copeland was a little too slow when Moses Zeigler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Todd Copeland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moses Zeigler in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Jesus Dubose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 13th match minute, The Mighty Midgets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reuben Perry to maneuver through the defense. Todd Copeland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moses Zeigler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moses Zeigler succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 22nd minute Moses Zeigler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Copeland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 minutes, Jesus Dubose made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. The Mighty Midgets's Max Patton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute of the match, Moses Zeigler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Todd Copeland saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Todd Copeland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moses Zeigler's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Moses Zeigler struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Todd Copeland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Mighty Midgets. Moses Zeigler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Copeland having to interfere. In the 45th minute, The Mighty Midgets's Vitor De la Torre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Moses Zeigler in the 53rd minute of play forced Hondo AFC's goalkeeper Todd Copeland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Vitor De la Torre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Mighty Midgets fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Bailey Ritchie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. The supporters of Hondo AFC booed when The Mighty Midgets was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eldon Leary didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Moses Zeigler managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Mighty Midgets's supporters rose to their feet, but Moses Zeigler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Todd Copeland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nolan Kaufman hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Todd Copeland was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. A collision led to The Mighty Midgets getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Eldon Leary hit a great ball. Jesus Dubose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Max Patton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that The Mighty Midgets were the better team. The Mighty Midgets's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
