Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Chuck Whitehead made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rock Rapids's goalkeeper Ismael Conley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Peoria Heights's Heriberto Saunders got a free kick in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Peoria Heights's Chuck Whitehead sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ismael Conley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Rolando Hare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elijah Coulter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Bobby Knapp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chuck Whitehead struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ismael Conley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peoria Heights. Ismael Conley was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Brock Montoya capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Brock Montoya really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Foster LeBlanc kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. If Woodrow Watt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Chuck Whitehead fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Chuck Whitehead fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Conley having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bobby Knapp to make the kick off. Ismael Conley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Woodrow Watt, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Peoria Heights booed when Rock Rapids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrell Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Woodrow Watt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Peoria Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Knapp came free, but Tracey Crews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Peoria Heights's goalkeeper Tracey Crews had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elijah Coulter. In the 66th minute, Bobby Knapp reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tracey Crews. The goal made the score 2-1. After 69 played minutes Rock Rapids got a freekick which was hit by Rory Murdock. Elijah Coulter struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Tracey Crews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rock Rapids. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tyrell Correa during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peoria Heights booed when Rock Rapids was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tyrell Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bobby Knapp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Tracey Crews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elijah Coulter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elijah Coulter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Tracey Crews made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuck Whitehead in the 92nd minute of play forced Rock Rapids's goalkeeper Ismael Conley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rock Rapids getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Anson Burris hit a great ball. Rock Rapids's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
