Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Isaiah Banning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Homerville AFC's zone, Rudolph Baez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Wilkerson came out of the goal and Rudolph Baez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Darius Morton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Wake Forest AFC's Darius Morton in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Homerville AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Homerville AFC's goalkeeper Adrian Wilkerson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rudolph Baez. With a little luck, Homerville AFC's Adrian Wilkerson got control of the ball when Rudolph Baez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evan Pugh in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adrian Wilkerson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stacey Joyner hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Homerville AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Don Messer hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darius Morton to strike the kick off in the second half. Darius Morton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Arellano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Arturo Chan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Arellano got free with Arturo Chan in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Wake Forest AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Rolf Becerra hit a great ball. Rudolph Baez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Rudolph Baez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wake Forest AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. A collision led to Wake Forest AFC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rolf Becerra hit a great ball. Rolf Becerra charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolf Becerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Rolf Becerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don Messer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Shane Haley fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wake Forest AFC's protests and gave Shane Haley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Wake Forest AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Haley to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the match, Wake Forest AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Isaiah Banning came free, but Arturo Chan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darius Morton in the 81st minute of play forced Homerville AFC's goalkeeper Adrian Wilkerson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Homerville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Darius Morton came free, but Adrian Wilkerson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wake Forest AFC had played much better football throughout.
