Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wesley Lake kicked off to start the match. The Westlake fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Garrett Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josh Ng hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Wesley Lake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curtis Velez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Daphne FC's Norman Boyles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Winfred Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Daphne FC's zone, Wesley Lake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Curtis Velez came out of the goal and Wesley Lake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Felipe Bowden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Garth Moran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garth Moran hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Westlake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Clifford to maneuver through the defense. If Garrett Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Garrett Mendez struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Curtis Velez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westlake. Daphne FC's Curtis Velez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Daphne FC from getting a goal against them. Garrett Mendez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Curtis Velez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Winfred Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Ransom in the 61st minute of the match. Garth Moran scored 2-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Winfred Berger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Daphne FC booed when Westlake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip Cottrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Norman Boyles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Winfred Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norman Boyles in the 74th minute of play. Garrett Mendez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Curtis Velez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wesley Lake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Daphne FC's goalkeeper Curtis Velez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Westlake's Wesley Lake sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curtis Velez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Garrett Mendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute Phillip Cottrell suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Garth Moran charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Garth Moran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Garth Moran hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Daphne FC's zone, Keenan Emery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Curtis Velez came out of the goal and Keenan Emery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
