Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Vaughn Clancy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Piney's Dirk Kerns in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hiland FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dirk Kerns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Piney's Anton Stringer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel English in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24thth minute of the game Markus Farley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piney's Anton Stringer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hiland FC! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Piney. Nolan Dozier stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Stanford Harper. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Joel English managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hiland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel English was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Stringer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markus Farley in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Stringer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the game, Piney's Dirk Kerns nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanford Harper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Dirk Kerns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jackson Cody struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Stanford Harper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piney. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vaughn Clancy to strike the kick off in the second half. Dirk Kerns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 minutes, Dirk Kerns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piney and the Hiland FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Dirk Kerns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Hiland FC's zone, Dirk Kerns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanford Harper came out of the goal and Dirk Kerns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the match, Harvey Blackwell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanford Harper. Hiland FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harvey Blackwell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Dirk Kerns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanford Harper having to interfere. Dirk Kerns scored 4-0 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanford Harper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot by Darin Parish from long distance, 76 minutes into the match, got Anton Stringer's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a rather tough play, Piney's Nolan Dozier got a free kick in the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel English kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anton Stringer. That made the score 4-1 in the 79 minute of play. After 84 minutes, Dirk Kerns made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hiland FC's Stanford Harper tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Piney booed when Hiland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theodore Bowser didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute, Nolan Dozier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vaughn Clancy might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanford Harper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vaughn Clancy ran back to his position shaking his head.
