Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Frankie Faulk started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ernie Engel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frankie Faulk's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The audience was convinced that Frankie Faulk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernie Engel was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 9th minute of the match Scotty Arroyo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfonzo Powell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vandergrift's Randall Britt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfonzo Powell. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 15th minute, Houston Little got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Randall Britt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonzo Powell having to interfere. Dallas Gilliam charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dallas Gilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Britt in the 25th minute of play forced Lake Wazeecha's goalkeeper Alfonzo Powell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vandergrift's Ernie Engel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Faulk in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vandergrift! Alfonzo Powell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Randall Britt's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Frankie Faulk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lake Wazeecha's supporters rose to their feet, but Frankie Faulk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernie Engel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Houston Little received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ernie Engel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Vandergrift got a freekick which was hit by Renaldo Hanks.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Randall Britt made a kick off. The supporters of Vandergrift booed when Lake Wazeecha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirk McCabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfonzo Powell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randall Britt in the 56th minute of play. Ernie Engel made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Houston Little sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, Vandergrift's goalkeeper Ernie Engel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Houston Little. After a rather tough play, Vandergrift's Adam Cochran got a free kick in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Vandergrift's goal looked a bit too open when Frankie Faulk came free, but Ernie Engel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lake Wazeecha's Houston Little got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd match minute, Vandergrift was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Cochran to maneuver through the defense. Lake Wazeecha's Alfonzo Powell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Britt in the 76th minute of play. If Simon Coleman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonzo Powell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Britt, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Santos Herbert hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Lake Wazeecha defense, Simon Coleman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alfonzo Powell. The Lake Wazeecha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alfonzo Powell should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Houston Little got free with Ernie Engel in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Houston Little received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ernie Engel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vandergrift's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
