FC Rubin Kazan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justin Platt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daron Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes, Santos Herbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lake Wazeecha and the FC Rubin Kazan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Santos Herbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lake Wazeecha's Alfonzo Powell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Platt in the 26th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Rubin Kazan fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Lake Wazeecha. Leif Pace stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mervin Orlinsky. 1-1. Mervin Orlinsky showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frankie Faulk, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Houston Little had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie Faulk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfonzo Powell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justin Platt in the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Daron Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rubin Kazan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daron Cabrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
