When Hector Rubio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 6 minutes had been played. Gilberto Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Wiley Hinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Gilberto Vela rounded A.C Blue Star's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Joey Holden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Wiley Hinson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Elton Woodruff came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the A.C Blue Star fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elton Woodruff couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the game, Emerson Puckett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.C Blue Star's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rancho Rinconada AFC the free kick. Gilberto Vela struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Wiley Hinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rancho Rinconada AFC. Elton Woodruff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wiley Hinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Vela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gilberto Vela made the kick off in the second half. Wiley Hinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Holden in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Vela in the 56th minute of play forced A.C Blue Star's goalkeeper Wiley Hinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jackson Cummings managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when A.C Blue Star's Elton Woodruff fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elton Woodruff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Wiley Hinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joey Holden in the 90th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Emery Key was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rancho Rinconada AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.C Blue Star the free kick. A collision led to Rancho Rinconada AFC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Emery Key hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.C Blue Star players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rancho Rinconada AFC.
