Walton Sapp came out of the goal and Marlon Oakley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walton Sapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marlon Oakley in the 17th minute of play. Teodoro Dumas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walton Sapp having to interfere. In the 21st minute Marlon Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walton Sapp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodoro Dumas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Walton Sapp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walton Sapp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marlon Oakley in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Gilbert Louis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Williamsport's Walton Sapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Dumas in the 46th minute of play. Teodoro Dumas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Williamsport booed when Warr Acres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Delgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Warr Acres defense, Marcellus Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Weldon Parra. The Warr Acres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weldon Parra should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute, Warr Acres's Marlon Oakley ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Walton Sapp. Walton Sapp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After 77 played minutes Williamsport got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Whittington. If Marcellus Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Dumas got free with Walton Sapp in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
