Rafael Darnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Cartwright in the 16th minute of the match. When Mitchell Frank came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Elk City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitchell Frank couldn't finish the play. Elk City FC's Rafael Darnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Cartwright in the 24th minute of play. Trenton Norman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Darnell having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nathaniel Kay during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Elk City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathaniel Kay to maneuver through the defense. Tracy Beatty took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Darnell. Elk City FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rafael Darnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claude Cartwright in the 31st minute of play. If Mitchell Frank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanley's Trenton Overton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitchell Frank in the 37th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Elk City FC's Mitchell Frank sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trenton Overton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitchell Frank in the 42nd minute of play forced Stanley's goalkeeper Trenton Overton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stanley's zone, Eddy Mathews stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trenton Overton came out of the goal and Eddy Mathews tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eddy Mathews fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elk City FC's protests and gave Eddy Mathews a yellow card for diving instead. Trenton Overton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mitchell Frank, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Elk City FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stanley were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mitchell Frank stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trenton Norman in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Darnell saved Elk City FC from getting behind. Trenton Overton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mitchell Frank's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 91st minute, Mitchell Frank got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Elk City FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Stanley's performance. The match ended with a win for Stanley.
