Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerard Tidwell took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th match minute, Fayette FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reuben Stevens to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 9 minutes, Flint Dickey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flint Dickey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ed Hand's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Thomas Hart skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thomas Hart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flint Dickey, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Fayette FC's goalkeeper Thomas Hart had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ed Hand. Ed Hand in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Thomas Hart, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thomas Hart stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flint Dickey's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Canton FC's Stan Ellis got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Fayette FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flint Dickey came free, but Thomas Hart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flint Dickey might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Hart. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flint Dickey ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Canton FC booed when Fayette FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Stevens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Hart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ed Hand in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Snider in the 44th minute of play forced Canton FC's goalkeeper Tyrone Watts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ed Hand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Thomas Hart made a huge save. Flint Dickey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ed Hand was the one to do the kick off. Thomas Hart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flint Dickey in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Canton FC's Flint Dickey fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Thomas Hart was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Canton FC's Ed Hand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Hart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 59th match minute, Canton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrew Payton to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Stan Ellis notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Fayette FC's Thomas Hart. Thomas Hart was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thomas Hart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ed Hand in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flint Dickey in the 74th minute of play forced Fayette FC's goalkeeper Thomas Hart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Fayette FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ed Hand came free, but Thomas Hart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 played minutes Fayette FC got a freekick which was hit by Reuben Stevens. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Stan Ellis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stan Ellis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Hart breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Canton FC fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Canton FC's Ed Hand looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thomas Hart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flint Dickey in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Mason Moseley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thomas Hart skillfully saved the ball. If Flint Dickey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Andrew Snider managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fayette FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrew Snider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrew Payton kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Canton FC had played much better football throughout.
