After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Tuan Morton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandeville Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuan Morton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Mahoney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute, Yong Montano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kent Mahoney was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 14 played minutes Mandeville Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Jarvis Beltran. Genaro McCracken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Mitchell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Martin Mitchell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnnie McCullough in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Clanton AFC's Johnnie McCullough got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Johnnie McCullough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Mitchell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Tuan Morton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tuan Morton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuan Morton during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tuan Morton hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Mandeville Football Club's Martin Mitchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Cramer in the 35th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Stacy Bolton made a precise shot to the right of Kent Mahoney. Clanton AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuan Morton in the 45th minute of play forced Clanton AFC's goalkeeper Kent Mahoney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudy Harman's late challenge caught a Mandeville Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnnie McCullough stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The long shot by Arturo McIntosh in the 63rd minute really tested Kent Mahoney's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Mandeville Football Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Clanton AFC:s goal. After 78 played minutes Mandeville Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Octavio Henderson. Arturo McIntosh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Cramer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Clanton AFC's zone, Tuan Morton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kent Mahoney came out of the goal and Tuan Morton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tuan Morton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johnnie McCullough charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnnie McCullough the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mandeville Football Club booed when Clanton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnnie McCullough didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Mandeville Football Club could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clanton AFC throughout the match.
