Metropolis AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santee FC the free kick. Rodrick Vogt made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Merle Webber sent off a good shot on target. Merle Webber scored 1-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrick Vogt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Merle Webber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santee FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Merle Webber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrick Vogt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Merle Webber might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrick Vogt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merle Webber ran back to his position shaking his head.
