Byron Hicks who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Damien Kellogg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 55th match minute, Odenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Barger to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes, Knoxville United's Miles Soto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damien Kellogg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Byron Hicks's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Damien Kellogg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the last second Damien Kellogg throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leonard French in the 81stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.
