Andreas Gibbonss short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Gregorio Ward to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 27 minutes into the match, Andreas Gibbons had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregorio Ward. Huron FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andreas Gibbons was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Clinton Hayes fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huron FC's protests and gave Clinton Hayes a yellow card for diving instead. Clinton Hayes hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 37th match minute, Clear Lake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graig Bradshaw to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Will Post to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Huron FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Houser came free, but Gregorio Ward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Lacy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Stan McClelland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clear Lake's goalkeeper Stan McClelland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Huron FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Andreas Gibbons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clear Lake's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Gibbons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregorio Ward breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Clear Lake fully deserved thier win.
