A collision led to Bostonia AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alonzo Alfaro hit a great ball. Garret Donahue, 19 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gregory Darnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ervin Smart kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Tony Madsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Bostonia AFC booed when Lake Sarasota was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monty Stanford didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Bostonia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ervin Smart. After having played for 63 minutes, Gordon Burroughs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Sarasota's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gordon Burroughs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emerson Abbott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roman Colby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emerson Abbott's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. With an all-out effort, Bostonia AFC's Roy Hopper threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gregory Darnell, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Gregory Darnell came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Bostonia AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregory Darnell couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Bostonia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Abbott came free, but Roman Colby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Askew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lake Sarasota supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bostonia AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Bostonia AFC.
