Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Wayne Patel kicked off to start the match. Gardnertown AFC's Otto Welch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Gardnertown AFC from getting a goal against them. After 6 minutes, Rickie Dwyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hollister and the Gardnertown AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Rickie Dwyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gardnertown AFC's Wayne Patel in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hollister's goalie prevented a goal. Otto Welch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Pugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dallas Fairchild sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wayne Patel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Sid Melendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wayne Patel in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sid Melendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Hollister's zone, Dalton Blalock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sid Melendez came out of the goal and Dalton Blalock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalton Blalock in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sid Melendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dalton Blalock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sid Melendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wayne Patel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sid Melendez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Sid Melendez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalton Blalock went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Wayne Patel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute, Lawrence Christensen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Hollister's goal looked a bit too open when Dalton Blalock came free, but Sid Melendez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Wayne Patel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gardnertown AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wayne Patel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sid Melendez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sid Melendez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wayne Patel, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Dalton Blalock came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Gardnertown AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalton Blalock couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xavier Pugh made a kick off. Dalton Blalock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Sid Melendez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dalton Blalock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Wayne Patel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sid Melendez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wayne Patel's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Dalton Blalock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalton Blalock's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 65thth minute, Sid Melendez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Otto Welch came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Hollister's Xavier Pugh. But to his dismay, Xavier Pugh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 75thth minute of the game Wayne Patel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hollister's Sid Melendez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Rickie Dwyer was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. A collision led to Hollister getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Rickie Dwyer hit a great ball. Cristopher Suarez charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristopher Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 77th minute of the game. One of Hollister:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gardnertown AFC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Sid Melendez, was totally fooled by Gardnertown AFC's Eliseo Boyce, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dalton Blalock got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-3 in the right cross in the 83rd match minute before Sid Melendez had time to react. After a rather tough play, Gardnertown AFC's Quinton Wills got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tad Pickens didn't quite understand what happened when in the 89 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Dalton Blalock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sid Melendez having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Wayne Patel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 played minutes Hollister got a freekick which was hit by Rodger Darling. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wayne Patel in the 99th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sid Melendez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gardnertown AFC played a much better game than Hollister and deserved their victory. The Hollister players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
