Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Oceanside's Vance Williamson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laurence Gauthier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Courtney in the 3rd minute of the match. Jonathan Quintero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Kirk Jacob skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vance Williamson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Laurence Gauthier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oceanside's Kirk Jacob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Quintero in the 20th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Coto De Caza got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Root. After recieving a nice pass, Oceanside's Emmitt Higgins tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chris Gibbons hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vance Williamson in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Laurence Gauthier saved Coto De Caza from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Damon Bowles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kirk Jacob took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Quintero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Eusebio Courtney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurence Gauthier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Courtney in the 43rd minute of play forced Coto De Caza's goalkeeper Laurence Gauthier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laurence Gauthier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vance Williamson in the 60th minute. When Eusebio Courtney came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Oceanside fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Courtney couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Oceanside booed when Coto De Caza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Engle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Emmitt Higgins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurence Gauthier showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 75 played minutes Oceanside got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses Alford. Oceanside's Kirk Jacob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Quintero in the 76th minute of play. Vance Williamson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
