Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Mount Angel's Bernie Donahue started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Monroe Jennings got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Finegayan FC's Monroe Jennings sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Douglass Whitehead narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernie Donahue in the 11th minute of play forced Finegayan FC's goalkeeper Graig Anthony to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Finegayan FC's Graig Anthony proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Finegayan FC from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute, Loren Rollins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rhett Dixon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Graig Anthony skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Graig Anthony made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Donahue in the 24th minute of play. Graig Anthony showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernie Donahue, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35thth minute of the game Monroe Jennings who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mount Angel's Douglass Whitehead was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edward Waters made a great header on Finegayan FC's corner, it was just that Mount Angel's Douglass Whitehead managed to reach the ball for a save. Mount Angel's Douglass Whitehead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cason Katz in the 37th minute of play. Monroe Jennings blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglass Whitehead having to make a save. Finegayan FC's Edward Waters got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Monroe Jennings to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Finegayan FC got a corner. Mount Angel's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Waters ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Finegayan FC's Moses Velez to fire away a dangerous shot which Douglass Whitehead despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mount Angel's Douglass Whitehead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monroe Jennings in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Shelby Gallagher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Rhett Dixon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Graig Anthony quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Moses Velez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglass Whitehead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelby Gallagher in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Mount Angel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teddy Nixon to maneuver through the defense. Edward Waterss short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Douglass Whitehead to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Shelby Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglass Whitehead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelby Gallagher in the 80th minute of play. Finegayan FC's Cason Katz has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 85th minute. Douglass Whitehead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moses Velez, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Edward Waters struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Douglass Whitehead didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Finegayan FC. A hard shot 95 in the game by Edward Waters from a close distance when the talented Douglass Whitehead managed to make a qualified save. Mount Angel's players were relieved.
