Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 110) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chance MacMillan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lima FC's Chase Wolfe got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tommie McClellan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Fritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th match minute, Lima FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otis Roach to maneuver through the defense. Ned Colvin charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ned Colvin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Alden's Ned Colvin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Alden's Tommie McClellan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chase Wolfe in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Alden's Roberto Graham got a free kick in the 9th minute. Chase Wolfe kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. With a little luck, Alden's Tommie McClellan got control of the ball when Daniel Triplett tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brendan Prather received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bennett Donahue tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Lima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerrod Wolff came free, but Bennett Donahue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bennett Donahue came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Alden's Luciano McCray. But to his dismay, Luciano McCray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 27 minutes into the match, Alden's goal looked a bit too open when Chase Wolfe came free, but Tommie McClellan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alden's Luciano McCray got a free kick in the 31st minute. Tommie McClellan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Fritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ismael Fritz took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommie McClellan. Tommie McClellan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Tommie McClellan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Fritz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lima FC's Otis Roach got a free kick in the 39th minute. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Ismael Fritz took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Tommie McClellan to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
51 minutes into the match, Ismael Fritz notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Alden's Tommie McClellan. Tommie McClellan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Lima FC booed when Alden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Connors didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Rashad Rosen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommie McClellan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ismael Fritz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommie McClellan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ismael Fritz in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommie McClellan saved Alden from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Alden's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Fritz came free, but Tommie McClellan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Lima FC's Bennett Donahue got control of the ball when Jerrod Wolff tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alden's Ned Colvin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bennett Donahue in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 79th minute, Ismael Fritz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lima FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Ismael Fritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Tommie McClellan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chance MacMillan struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Bennett Donahue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alden. Ismael Fritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tommie McClellan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ismael Fritz came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Lima FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Fritz couldn't finish the play. Lima FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
