Spectators: 6320 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 20) Rubidoux AFC's Santo Rainey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Daniel Triplett ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brant Larsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Rick Stevens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lima FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rubidoux AFC the free kick. After 10 played minutes Lima FC got a freekick which was hit by Rick Stevens. In the 14th minute Ismael Fritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brant Larsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Lima FC's Daniel Triplett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brant Larsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Ismael Fritz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Brant Larsen, 2-0. After having played for 22 minutes, Santo Rainey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rubidoux AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santo Rainey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Fritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ismael Fritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Daniel Triplett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-0 became the score in the 31st minute when Ismael Fritz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ismael Fritz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lima FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Fritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brant Larsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Santo Rainey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bennett Donahue having to make a save. Santo Rainey struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Bennett Donahue didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rubidoux AFC. Ismael Fritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Brant Larsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Fritz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Brant Larsen came out and tried to block the shot, but Ismael Fritz slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Fritz made a kick off. Chase Wolfe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Fritz in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brant Larsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brant Larsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Fritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Merlin Sheehan put in a rough tackle. 70 minutes into the match, Sid Egan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bennett Donahue. Lima FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sid Egan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. After 74 minutes of play, Lima FC's Ismael Fritz made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brant Larsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brant Larsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Tinsley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael Fritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Ismael Fritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brant Larsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brant Larsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Triplett in the 90th minute of play. Daniel Triplett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
