Elmwood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortville AFC the free kick. Sung Arden hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Quinn Sosa hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Salvatore Carlton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alec Parker. Elmwood's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salvatore Carlton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Fortville AFC's Terry DeJesus got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Terry DeJesus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alec Parker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvatore Carlton, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Rigoberto Valle fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elmwood's protests and gave Rigoberto Valle a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 56th minute of the game. One of Elmwood:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fortville AFC:s goal. The excitement rose when Fortville AFC's Leroy Blackwell after 58 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Elmwood's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 3-0. In the 62nd match minute, Fortville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Morin to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th play minute Edmundo Uster came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Davis Goldman. 3-1. When Edmundo Uster came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Elmwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Uster couldn't finish the play. Fortville AFC's Terry DeJesus got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Terry DeJesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Elmwood booed when Fortville AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hank Boyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmwood's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rob Willoughby in the 89th minute. A well done corner resulted in Dana Pool drilling the ball in to score 3-2 behind Fortville AFC's goalkeeper. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mitchell Chu during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
