Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Derby FC's Danial Ramsey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Derby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Hood came free, but Kevin Acuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Finley's Ali Staton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danial Ramsey in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Eduardo Hood reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kevin Acuna. The goal made the score 1-0. Ted Ferguson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Acuna having to interfere. When Hal Presley fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derby FC's protests and gave Hal Presley a yellow card for diving instead. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Kevin Acuna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finley's goalkeeper Ali Staton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kevin Acuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Hood in the 40th minute of play. Hugh Flood received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kevin Acuna came out and tried to block the shot, but Hugh Flood slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eduardo Hood stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kevin Acuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugh Flood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ted Ferguson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Acuna having to interfere. Derby FC's D.J. Kline got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cruz Leon hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Alfred Armstrong was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 64th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Danial Ramsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Acuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Ferguson, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 70 played minutes Derby FC got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Schulz. In the 71stth minute of the game Ted Ferguson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Derby FC's Kevin Acuna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ismael Gillespie kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If D.J. Kline had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finley were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Derby FC for a fine match.
