Al Gibbons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rick Nicholas in the 15th minute of the match. Casper Carbajal hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Lenoir's Bryant Madison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devin Thurman in the 18th minute of play. If Devin Thurman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fort Collins FC's Al Gibbons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Nicholas in the 23rd minute of play. Devin Thurman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bryant Madison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lenoir booed when Fort Collins FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Olson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fort Collins FC! Ronny Pulliam shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Warren Poirier came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Fort Collins FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Poirier couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Lenoir defense, Devin Thurman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bryant Madison. The Lenoir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bryant Madison should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Warren Poirier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Bryant Madison made a huge save. Devin Thurman struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Bryant Madison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fort Collins FC. Cason Stover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Warren Poirier came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Fort Collins FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Warren Poirier couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Warren Poirier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cason Stover blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Al Gibbons having to make a save. The supporters of Lenoir booed when Fort Collins FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hank Tracy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hank Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fort Collins FC's Hank Tracy was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 83rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 87 played minutes Fort Collins FC got a freekick which was hit by Warren Poirier. When Cason Stover came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Lenoir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cason Stover couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fort Collins FC's goalkeeper Al Gibbons, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Fort Collins FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lenoir.
