A wasted opportunity for St. Peters FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Klein in the 15th minute of play forced Minneapolis's goalkeeper Duane Brownell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. St. Peters FC's Pablo Klein got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Colby Pennington mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minneapolis and the St. Peters FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Colby Pennington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match Jack Boggs shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Duane Brownell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of St. Peters FC booed when Minneapolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cameron Bender to make the kick off.
