Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vincenzo Carrasco made the kick off which started today's match. Andreas Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvatore Daniel having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, Channahon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jayson Toney to maneuver through the defense. Salvatore Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Forrest Lipscomb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvatore Daniel made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Andreas Edwards sent off a good shot on target. Fruitland's Salvatore Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Fruitland from getting a goal against them. Salvatore Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Forrest Lipscomb, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Channahon's Andreas Edwards sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salvatore Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfred Sizemore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincenzo Carrasco in the 26th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Forrest Lipscomb in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salvatore Daniel saved Fruitland from getting behind. Andreas Edwards could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Salvatore Daniel made a huge save. Andreas Edwards recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Forrest Lipscomb might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salvatore Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Forrest Lipscomb ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th minute, Jayson Toney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Channahon's Lanny Talley seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lanny Talley the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Channahon protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lanny Talley had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 42 minutes into the game, one of Channahon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Edwards made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolph McMahon got free with Alfred Sizemore in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolph McMahon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Alfred Sizemore made a huge save. When Robby Kemp fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fruitland's protests and gave Robby Kemp a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Fruitland got a freekick which was hit by Robby Kemp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Edwards in the 59th minute of play forced Fruitland's goalkeeper Salvatore Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andreas Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Salvatore Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Channahon's Alfred Sizemore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Channahon from getting a goal against them. If Vincenzo Carrasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Donald Leach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfred Sizemore was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. When Jayson Toney came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Channahon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jayson Toney couldn't finish the play. If Andreas Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
