After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Allen Richardson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruston's supporters rose to their feet, but Allen Richardson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vincenzo Ward breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Madawaska's zone, Allen Richardson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincenzo Ward came out of the goal and Allen Richardson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Madawaska getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Salvatore Collier hit a great ball. Lawrence Mullen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dan Bearden went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, Madawaska's goal looked a bit too open when Allen Richardson came free, but Vincenzo Ward reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Chad Washington notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ruston's Lawrence Mullen. Lawrence Mullen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emerson Karros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lawrence Mullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Merlin Baggett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Madawaska the free kick. When Murray Morrison came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Madawaska fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murray Morrison couldn't finish the play. Riley Tidwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Bearden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Lawrence Mullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Dan Bearden made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruston's goalkeeper Lawrence Mullen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dan Bearden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Mullen having to interfere. After 58 minutes of play, Madawaska's Dan Bearden made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lawrence Mullen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Riley Tidwell got free with Vincenzo Ward in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, Madawaska's goalkeeper Vincenzo Ward had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Riley Tidwell. Chad Washington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Mullen having to interfere. In the 69th minute Allen Richardson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincenzo Ward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lawrence Mullen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chad Washington in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Madawaska's zone, Allen Richardson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vincenzo Ward came out of the goal and Allen Richardson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allen Richardson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vincenzo Ward came out and tried to block the shot, but Allen Richardson slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 75th minute. Fabian Velasquez hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Vincenzo Ward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allen Richardson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waylon Hancock took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lawrence Mullen. Ruston's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 92nd play minute Riley Tidwell came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vincenzo Ward. 3-3. When Madawaska's Emerson Karros in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruston's goalie prevented a goal. The Ruston players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Madawaska from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
