Arturo Leslie hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Clay Werner was a little too slow when Korey Trujillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Korey Trujillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Clay Werner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tillmans Corner FC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Tillmans Corner FC's Antoine Yu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th match minute, East Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Leslie to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as East Chicago's Korey Trujillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Clay Werner. That made the score 2-1 after 31 minutes of play. Clay Werner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Leslie in the 36th minute. After 41 played minutes East Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Leslie. Santo Ernst sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antoine Yu to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvis Miner during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tillmans Corner FC booed when East Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvis Miner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Tod Tanner successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Clay Werner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korey Trujillo in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Harvey Pendleton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tod Tanner saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tillmans Corner FC's goalkeeper Clay Werner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 91 minutes, Keith Putnam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tillmans Corner FC and the East Chicago players grew even worse after the yellow card. Keith Putnam hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Korey Trujillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clay Werner was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Tillmans Corner FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for East Chicago.
