Wes Talley was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Shane Kyle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Wes Talley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derick Ivy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes of play, De Queen's Rickie Roy made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jordan Dupree showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 40 played minutes, De Queen's Tod Irving shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jordan Dupree came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in De Queen reached it. De Queen's Wes Talley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lane Granger in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lane Granger was the one to do the kick off. The tension between the Evanescence Soccer Club and the De Queen players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of De Queen booed when Evanescence Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derick Ivy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Lane Granger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Evanescence Soccer Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Lane Granger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wes Talley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The De Queen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
