The supporters of Liverpool booed when Sherrill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christopher Rowley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st match minute, Liverpool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Childress to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Rufus Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sherrill AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rufus Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Liverpool's Dante Stark got control of the ball when Rufus Sylvester tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rufus Sylvester hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Vincent Hahn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sherrill AFC and the Liverpool players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rufus Sylvester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Stark having to interfere. Ignacio Whatley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Randolph Langley came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool's Ari Parsons. But to his dismay, Ari Parsons quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rufus Sylvester to make the kick off. Silas Tracy's late challenge caught a Sherrill AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silas Tracy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Liverpool's Silas Tracy got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a little luck, Sherrill AFC's Randolph Langley got control of the ball when Ari Parsons tried to sneak it across the goal line.
