Quincy Looney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mckinley Landis in the 3rd minute of the match. Quincy Looney didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 4th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Leif Fox struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Quincy Looney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norwalk FC. If Mckinley Landis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 11th minute Leif Fox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quincy Looney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Francesco Albright got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Betla National Park's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Owens came free, but Quincy Looney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quincy Looney made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Mckinley Landis sent off a good shot on target. Nelson Hinkle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Albright in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Ronny Goode sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Norwalk FC's Nelson Hinkle didn't even have to move. Nelson Hinkle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesse Dykes in the 28th minute of play. Norwalk FC's Nelson Hinkle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Dykes in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Leif Fox managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norwalk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leif Fox was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filiberto Lockwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nelson Hinkle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 57 minutes, Mckinley Landis made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Betla National Park's Quincy Looney tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 60 minutes, Salvador Owens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norwalk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Salvador Owens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st match minute, Norwalk FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elton Fenton to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Betla National Park's Nelson Hinkle threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Francesco Albright, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Betla National Park's Quincy Looney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mckinley Landis in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Norwalk FC's Elton Fenton got a free kick in the 69th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of Norwalk FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Betla National Park:s goal. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Betla National Park. Ronny Goode stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nelson Hinkle. 2-2. Salvador Owens fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 78th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Filiberto Lockwood struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. In the 91st minute, Betla National Park's Francesco Albright dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The audience was convinced that Mckinley Landis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quincy Looney was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Filiberto Lockwood struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Nelson Hinkle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Betla National Park. The Betla National Park supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Betla National Park would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
