Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanner Gold in the 6th minute of play forced Britt FC's goalkeeper Silas Blanton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Round Lake's Tanner Gold nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silas Blanton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 21st minute, Tanner Gold made a precise shot to the right of Silas Blanton. Britt FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Robby Parson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silas Blanton. Britt FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Geoffrey Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Britt FC's Silas Blanton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanner Gold in the 34th minute of play. Tanner Gold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Round Lake's Sal Kimble proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Round Lake from getting a goal against them. After the first half Round Lake were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Geoffrey Hutchinson made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Round Lake's Tanner Gold sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silas Blanton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes into the game, Vern Pike was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Britt FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Round Lake the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Vern Pike hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Britt FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lee Hamby was slow to take the kick. During this time Round Lake's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Lee Hamby got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Silas Blanton quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Tanner Gold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sal Kimble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyron Schafer in the 61st minute of the match. When Tyron Schafer came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Britt FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyron Schafer couldn't finish the play. Ramiro Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Sal Kimble tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tanner Gold came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Round Lake fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tanner Gold couldn't finish the play. In the 70th match minute, Britt FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenic Boyd to maneuver through the defense. Britt FC's Silas Blanton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Britt FC from getting a goal against them. Geoffrey Hutchinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silas Blanton having to interfere. If Geoffrey Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Britt FC's Silas Blanton got control of the ball when Tanner Gold tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Tyron Schafer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Britt FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyron Schafer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramiro Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sal Kimble. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramiro Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renaldo Griffith during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Britt FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Round Lake eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
