The Harrington fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Harrington's Saul Zuniga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience thought a goal was coming when Logan Melendez got free with Chuck Jacob in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jed Greenwood's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalton Klein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Myrtle Grove's Oswaldo Crowley got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jed Greenwood in the 27th minute of play forced Myrtle Grove's goalkeeper Dalton Klein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Saul Zuniga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harrington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Zuniga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saul Zuniga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalton Klein having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Saul Zuniga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harrington's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Zuniga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jed Greenwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalton Klein having to interfere. If Saul Zuniga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jed Greenwood made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Myrtle Grove's zone, Pablo Quintero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalton Klein came out of the goal and Pablo Quintero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 52 played minutes Myrtle Grove got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Toth. Myrtle Grove's Dalton Klein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Myrtle Grove from getting a goal against them. Dalton Klein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jed Greenwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Saul Zuniga could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Dalton Klein however easily saved by the left post. In the 63rd minute, Oswaldo Crowley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Myrtle Grove's goal looked a bit too open when Jed Greenwood came free, but Dalton Klein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Saul Zuniga took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Dalton Klein to make any attempt to save it. Rudy Medley charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudy Medley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dalton Klein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jed Greenwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Willard Parsons left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Myrtle Grove fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. If Jed Greenwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harrington's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
