In the 4th match minute, Donora AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Thompson to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes Donora AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Kirby. 12 minutes into the match, Diego Woodson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caleb Spivey. Donora AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Woodson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 22 minutes of play, Lexington's Diego Woodson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caleb Spivey was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Rickie Lancaster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lexington getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Martin Shipp hit a great ball. David Cowan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Caleb Spivey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Rickie Lancaster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donora AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lexington the free kick. After a rather tough play, Donora AFC's Rickie Lancaster got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute Mason Merritt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caleb Spivey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Diego Woodson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Lexington were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mason Merritt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rickie Lancaster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Levy having to interfere. Francisco Wiley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Benny Levy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mason Merritt came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Lexington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mason Merritt couldn't finish the play. In the 71st match minute, Donora AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rickie Lancaster to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lexington's Rory Edmondson got a free kick in the 76th minute. David Cowan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Rueben Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lexington's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
