The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Burt in the 12th minute of play forced Bondsville AFC's goalkeeper Warren Webb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Terrell MacKenzie made a precise shot to the right of Warren Webb. Bondsville AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Gavin Burt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Webb having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terrell MacKenzie in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Warren Webb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Warren Webb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavin Burt, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Gavin Burt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Webb having to interfere. Warren Webb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Burt in the 24th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Universitario de Deportes got a freekick which was hit by Antoine Bonds. Warren Webb didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gavin Burt went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Antoine Bonds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Webb having to interfere. If Gavin Burt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Gavin Burt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gavin Burt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mickey Palacios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Bondsville AFC's Warren Webb got control of the ball when Terrell MacKenzie tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gavin Burt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th match minute, Bondsville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mickey Palacios to maneuver through the defense. Leo Holland was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Terrell MacKenzie got free with Warren Webb in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bondsville AFC's Warren Webb proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Bondsville AFC from getting a goal against them. Gavin Burt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute, Terrell MacKenzie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gavin Burt came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Universitario de Deportes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavin Burt couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavin Burt in the 92nd minute of play forced Bondsville AFC's goalkeeper Warren Webb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Terrell MacKenzie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Webb having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Universitario de Deportes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bondsville AFC.
