Scotland Neck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Acosta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josef Culver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Davison having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Raymond Acosta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cruz Davison was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Los Angeles Galaxy's Heriberto Land suffered a concussion after 38 minutes and had to leave the field. 38 minutes into the game, Marcos Tobin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scotland Neck's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Angeles Galaxy the free kick. A collision led to Scotland Neck getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Marcos Tobin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Scotland Neck's zone, Kraig Blalock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jermaine Toth came out of the goal and Kraig Blalock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danny Holmes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Scotland Neck booed when Los Angeles Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lloyd Chandler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cruz Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Cruz Davison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josef Culver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Scotland Neck were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Scotland Neck booed when Los Angeles Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Arrington didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, Josef Culver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scotland Neck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josef Culver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 57th minute of the match, Josef Culver tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cruz Davison saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Scotland Neck:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Angeles Galaxy:s goal. If Raymond Acosta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Josef Culver dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cruz Davison, 1-2. Raymond Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Cruz Davison tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cruz Davison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Culver in the 84th minute of the match. Josef Culver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Davison having to interfere. Josef Culver struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Cruz Davison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scotland Neck. Raymond Acosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 102nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cruz Davison having to interfere.
