DESTRUCTOR's Rory Storr suffered a sprained foot after 6 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Winfred Gonzales charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Winfred Gonzales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. DESTRUCTOR's Romeo Veltman was substituted for Rory Storr. A collision led to Goochland Green Rangers getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Winfred Gonzales hit a great ball. Ernesto Hanna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Goochland Green Rangers's Ernesto Hanna got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanford Hanley in the 28th minute of play forced DESTRUCTOR's goalkeeper Jerrod Gipson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Trey Sheppard made the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Goochland Green Rangers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of DESTRUCTOR:s goal. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, DESTRUCTOR's Erik Dotson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Barry LoDuca. The supporters of Goochland Green Rangers booed when DESTRUCTOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trey Sheppard didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, DESTRUCTOR's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Hanna came free, but Jerrod Gipson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Goochland Green Rangers's goalkeeper Barry LoDuca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trey Sheppard. After having played for 72 minutes, Trey Sheppard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DESTRUCTOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trey Sheppard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
