A collision led to ROMAnguaça getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Kris Sewell hit a great ball. Shelby Mora was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Virgil Patel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. After having played for 17 minutes, Blaine Katz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wheat Ridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blaine Katz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, ROMAnguaça's Collin Maxwell got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 26th match minute, Wheat Ridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Patel to maneuver through the defense. Max Langford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Hampton in the 29th minute of play. Max Langford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Hampton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rocky Brandon kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, ROMAnguaça's goalkeeper Shelby Mora had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blaine Katz. Max Langford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roscoe Mueller, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Eddy Grady hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caleb Landers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Blaine Katz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kris Sewell's late challenge caught a Wheat Ridge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kris Sewell helped the player get up and apologised. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Monty Hampton made a kick off. ROMAnguaça's Shelby Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caleb Landers in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes, Rocky Brandon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ROMAnguaça and the Wheat Ridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Shelby Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blaine Katz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Blaine Katz scored 2-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shelby Mora, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ROMAnguaça's Shelby Mora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaine Katz in the 72nd minute of play. Shelby Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caleb Landers, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Caleb Landers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shelby Mora. ROMAnguaça's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caleb Landers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Blaine Katz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Shelby Mora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Blaine Katz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th minute Caleb Landers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shelby Mora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ROMAnguaça's zone, Caleb Landers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shelby Mora came out of the goal and Caleb Landers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 4-0 became the score in the 94th minute when Caleb Landers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wheat Ridge fully deserved thier win.
