After a rather tough play, Chattanooga Valley's John Bledsoe got a free kick in the 14th minute. Raphael Yoshioka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stan Nichols having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Sandia Heights's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Vogel came free, but Tracy Chin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Dustin Nava dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stan Nichols, 1-0.
