The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bret Stephenson during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 minutes, George Fish mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charter Oak FC and the Crowley players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Charter Oak FC got a freekick which was hit by George Fish. When Archie Hoffman came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Crowley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Archie Hoffman couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Crowley's Claude Lozano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carson Herbert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bret Stephenson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jimmy Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Charter Oak FC's Art Karros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jimmy Sanders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Archie Hoffman got free with Carson Herbert in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jude Bishop kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claude Lozano made a kick off. Jude Bishop hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Art Karros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Sanders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60thth minute of the game Claude Lozano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charter Oak FC's Carson Herbert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Archie Hoffman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 66 in the game by Bret Stephenson from a close distance when the talented Jimmy Sanders managed to make a qualified save. Crowley's players were relieved. After 67 played minutes Art Karros rounded Crowley's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Bret Stephenson in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jimmy Sanders, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Benny Orozco hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Carson Herbert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archie Hoffman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Art Karros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jimmy Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Charter Oak FC. Gerardo Castle stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jimmy Sanders. 0-3. In the 95th minute, Benny Orozco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Art Karros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jimmy Sanders. That made the score 0-4 in the 98 minute of play.
