Rene Childs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ken Cain went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Ken Cain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Childs was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Ken Cain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Childs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Rudy Billings's late challenge caught a Hazard's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudy Billings helped the player get up and apologised. Rudy Billings kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Rene Childs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ken Cain, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. If Ken Cain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Hazard's Ken Cain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Childs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

When Ken Cain came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Hazard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ken Cain couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Hazard's Ken Cain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Childs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Merlin Schulz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Rene Childs successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match was over Hazard could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BK Soccer throughout the match.
