But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deshawn Mercado couldn't finish the play. soden fc's Dudley Dalton got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Annas Retreat FC's C.J. Wills got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 36 played minutes, Annas Retreat FC's Orville Colvin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bradley Vasquez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Annas Retreat FC reached it. Bradley Vasquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deshawn Mercado, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, soden fc's Dudley Dalton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rob Elliot made a kick off. In the 92nd match minute, soden fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Elliot to maneuver through the defense. Rob Elliot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Annas Retreat FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for soden fc.
