Devon Everett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wes McDonough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zackary Beard's late challenge caught a Hidden Valley Lake AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zackary Beard helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Hidden Valley Lake AFC a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Domenico McDonough, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pizza's C.J. Murdock. 0-1. C.J. Murdock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zachary Stockton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Ulysses Garrison mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pizza and the Hidden Valley Lake AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pizza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Domenico McDonough was slow to take the kick. During this time Hidden Valley Lake AFC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hidden Valley Lake AFC's corner Troy Shirley fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and C.J. Murdock quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Wes McDonough kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emery Huffman. That made the score 1-1 in the 26 minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Zachary Stockton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hidden Valley Lake AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zachary Stockton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fletcher Layton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fletcher Layton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. C.J. Murdock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zachary Stockton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without C.J. Murdock having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Zachary Stockton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hidden Valley Lake AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zachary Stockton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. C.J. Murdock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wes McDonough to make the kick off. Pierre Booker hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. C.J. Murdock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico McDonough in the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Fletcher Layton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hidden Valley Lake AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fletcher Layton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. C.J. Murdock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.J. Murdock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Stockton in the 61st minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Pizza's goalkeeper C.J. Murdock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Devon Everett. Jack Stark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Stockton in the 74th minute of play forced Pizza's goalkeeper C.J. Murdock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 80 played minutes Hidden Valley Lake AFC got a freekick which was hit by Zachary Stockton. 81 minutes into the game, Fabian Wise was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hidden Valley Lake AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pizza the free kick. A collision led to Hidden Valley Lake AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Fabian Wise hit a great ball. Zachary Stockton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zachary Stockton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Fletcher Layton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 97th minute, Otis Holden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hidden Valley Lake AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
