After 11 played minutes, Millbrae AFC's Dario Magee shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Severo Gorbea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Mervin Worthington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglass Mobley, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Sydney Kidd hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Benton's goal looked a bit too open when Murray Watt came free, but Severo Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Benton's Severo Gorbea got control of the ball when Alec Watkins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Douglass Mobley struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Mervin Worthington didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benton. 82 minutes into the match, Benton's goal looked a bit too open when Bailey Burch came free, but Severo Gorbea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benton's Severo Gorbea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Watkins in the 85th minute of play.
